Joey Zwillinger is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Allbirds. Founded in 2015 alongside Kiwi Tim Brown, Allbirds makes sustainable footwear using natural materials, with its first product being dubbed by TIME magazine as "the world's most comfortable shoes." Allbirds sold more than a million pairs of shoes in its first two years of business, earning the recognition of "the fastest growing shoe company in the world." A biotech engineer and renewable materials expert, Joey was Vice President of Industrial Products at TerraVia, where he developed a durable polyurethane from microalgae. Earlier, he held advisory and investment roles at Industry Ventures, Deloitte Consulting, and Goldman Sachs. He also co-founded the Hopscotch Network, which focused on helping underprivileged kids. Joey obtained his BS in Industrial Engineering from UC Berkeley and MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
