Daredevil hikers get close-up view of erupting volcano in Kamchatka01:18
A bunch of Russian hikers witnessed a volcanic eruption at close range in the Far Eastern region of Kamchatka. The group climbed up Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Eurasia’s highest active volcano, and stopped to take pictures at the rim of the volcano as it spilled lava and ash into the sky. Another hiking group used the cooling lava to cook sausages. Klyuchevskoy Sopka erupts at regular intervals, with the latest series beginning in February.
