World's first automatic paella-making robot makes a stir delivering 'perfect' results01:00
The world's first paella-making robot has been designed to deliver the perfect result for diners every time, as showcased in Madrid. The robot, supplied by Brobot5, uses an electronic fire control solution as part of the automation of the cooking process. The innovative product is the brainchild of Sergi Escola, a chef and Mimcook employee, and Enrique Lillo, an engineer at Brobot5. Escola also noted that the robot had the added benefit of decreasing stress for cooks in the kitchen. According to Lillo, the goal of the robot isn't strictly to replace a human chef altogether, but rather to assist them in a human-machine team effort. Lillo also noted that the robot could be used to standardise other dishes and make gastronomy more accessible across the world.
